Focus: Fixing the Future

The motto of Short Waves Festival’s 12th edition – Fixing the Future – denotes the sphere of curators’ interests and returns in the form of a multithreaded narration of film screenings, educational program, and in particular – a shared desire for the festival to be at least a bit more environment-friendly. In 2020 we’re looking into the future and analyzing issues such as climate change, the increasing significance of populist parties, and the threat of growing social polarization. Four carefully assembled film programs are designed to aid us in search for an answer to the utopian question – are we still capable of fixing the future?
