From this year Short Waves Festival has become one of the festivals nominating to the European Audience Award!
Thereby, we found ourselves among 9 other wonderful festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival (France), Encounters Film Festival (UK), Go Short – International Short Film Festival Nijmegen (The Netherlands), Curtas Vila do Conde International Film Festival (Portugal), Interfilm Berlin – International Short Film Festival (Germany), Alciné – Alcala de Henares Film Festival (Spain), Lviv International Short Film Festival Wiz-Art(Ukraine), Tampere Film Festival (Finland) oraz Brussels Short Film Festival (Belgium).
Nominated films will be presented at all the ten festivals throughout the year. In each festival, the audience will have a chance to vote in favour of its favourite short film.
The award of 3500 euro offered by Representation of the European Commission in Belgium will receive the picture that happens to collect the most votes. The winner of the first European Short Film Audience Award will be announced during the opening ceremony of the 23rd Brussels Short Film Festival in 2020.
Short Waves Festival decided to nominate “Fusy” by Kordian Kądziela, which won the audience award of Polish Competition during 10th edition of the festival.
